NANJING CLINICAL PLACEMENT PROGRAMME

On successful completion of the three year programme graduates take part in an intensive clinical programme in the Nanjing University of TCM, China, and affiliated hospitals. Graduates are organised into small working groups, working with an experienced clinician and medical interpreter. The Programme is structured to give maximum exposure to a working hospital outpatient’s clinics.

The Acupuncture Foundation has held a formal affiliation with The Nanjing University of TCM, China for many years.

In 1987 we sent our first clinical group to Nanjing, and we have continued to send clinical groups each year since then, to participate in clinical work experience and specialist lectures and workshops.
Our cultural and clinical groups are escorted and fully supervised by Foundation staff, and include visits to major cultural sites in Beijing, Shanghai and Nanjing.
